In this role he builds and strengthens strategic relationships with Oil and Gas producers and service providers who benefit from the Global Hydraulic Fracturing Expertise of Ely & Associates.
Mr. Lofton previously held a variety of increasingly responsible roles with major service companies and chemical manufacturers, gaining an insight to the business needs and key success factors sought by Oil and Gas producers in today’s unconventional and shale reservoirs. His career began after earning his Petroleum Engineering degree from Texas A&M University in 1992. He spent the next 16 years with Baker Hughes in Sales, Operations Management, and Corporate Account Executive roles in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. In 2008 he joined Multi-Chem, a Halliburton Company, as a member of the Global Business Development Team. Mr. Lofton continued his pattern of success when in 2012 he took the role of VP of the Completion Chemicals group for SNF Oil and Gas, the largest global manufacturer of polymers and friction reducers.
Additionally, Mr. Lofton has been a strong advocate for community outreach on behalf of the Oil and Gas industry. He is the founder and Chairman of Oilman Helping Hands, a 501(c3) organization, which has raised and donated over $50,000 to local and military charities through his very popular annual event, DFW Oilman’s Tactical Shoot.
Mr. Lofton also served as Chairman, Programs Chair, and Scholarship Chair on the Executive Board of the Fort Worth chapter of Society of Petroleum Engineers. He has been honored as a distinguished speaker regarding fracturing at the American Chemistry Society’s annual Green Chemistry Conference in Washington DC, as well as SPE sponsored events, and is a routine speaker at high schools about the Petroleum Industry.
